Unhinged Comedy: May 17th 2015

May 17, 2015 @ 9:00 pm - 11:20 pm

$6 - $8

Connor McDonough-Flynn (@ConMcFlynn) #TakingTheStage #MC on Sunday the 17th of May 2015 at Unhinged Comedy (@UnhingedComedy) in the Ha’penny Bridge Inn (). Doors 21:00. €8/€6.

Unhinged Comedy’s Lineup:

Iain O’ Connor (@Iain_not_ian)

Dublin based comedian who has gigged all over the country and is quite tall.

“Not my cup of tea” – Martin the janitor who works with his mother.

– Bernard Casey (@BernyCasey):

“Hailing from a sleepy sea village in South Kerry, Bernard is a brand new type of comic. Young and rural but very much a 21st century man. He is behind a number of popular YouTube sensations including The B Team, GAA Stereotypes and satirical audio/visual series Breaking Balls. In 2013 The Evening Echo listed him in their “Top 5 Comedians For the Future” and since then has went onto open for the likes of Ardal O Hanlon, Karl Spain, Pat Shortt and Canadian comics Glen Wool and Tom Stade.”

“Great comic with a very bright future” – Pat Shortt

– Declan Byrne

“Declan Byrne is a musical comedian who doesn’t like going outside. He complains about his life while plagiarising blues music. He won a plastic duck at the Battle of the Axe one time. Influences include Rodney Dangerfield and Lead Belly.”

– Martin Angolo

“Martin Angolo mixes one-liners with non-sequiturs and his material has been said to stand out from most other comics on the circuit. Accomplishments include: Show Me the Funny runner up 2015, performed at Electric Picnic, Galway comedy festival and is set to perform at Forbidden Fruit 2015.”

Kevin O’Connell (@kevconnell) :

“Despite an inability to write jokes Kevin O’Connell has had minor achievements with his brand of sexy, surreal nonsense. He was the Peoples Choice Winner at the Chortle Student comedy awards 2013, a finalist in the Show Me The Funny 2014 competition & a finalist in the ‘Forbidden Fruit Comedy Talent Search’ and has supported comedians such as Paul Foot.”

‘Happily took things down a surreal rabbit hole’ – Hot Press (2013)

“a Goth-inspired rock-star figure, and makes the most of his wiry frame, demanding attention as he postures on stage” “you can’t deny he has style.” – Chortle.com (2015)

– Emma Doran (@EmmaLouDoran) :

Just over a year and a half on the comedy circuit:

Winner of Ha’penny Comedy Competition 2014.

Runner up Forbidden Fruit Comedy Search 2014

Runner Up Show me the Funny 2015

You can sometimes see Emma’s head popping up on Republic of Telly as well.
