Unhinged Comedy’s Lineup:

– Luke Mcgibbon (@msieuinternet):

In the time since his first gig in December 2011, Luke McGibbon has made himself known in the Northern Irish comedy scene as one to watch. Having performed his first hour long show at the black box then going on to bring it to the Edinburgh fringe last year (“witty stuff, darkly knowing.. charmingly naff”- Culture NI) winning the Belfast heat of the chortle student comedian awards with his shy yet playful and commanding delivery, and supporting the likes of Jason Byrne, Mickey Bartlett and Kevin McAleer, there’s certainly plenty to vouch for. He is originally from the far east (Cork).”

– Dion Arnold (@ItsNotDijon):

“Classically trained in spoon whittling this 48 year old lying to be older Canadian kid just wants to ride a tandem bike with you. Come on! Do it! It’s recumbent.

He has performed in every major Canadian city in clubs and in pubs and in festivals such as North by North East in Toronto, NextFest, and the Edmonton International Fringe Festival and I like him.”

– John Carroll (@johncarroll1988):

John’s been doing comedy for a few years around Ireland. He’s been a finalist in a few comedy competitions. Has a right dark sense of humour.”

– Ronan Linskey (@RonanLinskey):

From Belfast, Ronan Linskey has been performing for over 4 years now, and has supported such luminaries as Tony Law, Isy Suttie, Brendon Burns, Eleanor Tiernan and Mark Thomas.

He’s gigged across the UK and Ireland, including clubs such as The Stand in Glasgow & Edinburgh, Josie Long’s Lost Treasures of the Black Heart, The Comedy Crunch, The Black Box Belfast and Bec Hill’s Pun Run.

He’s taking his second hour show – Cult of Personality – to the Edinburgh Fringe this August.

Forbidden Fruit Festival Talent Search Winner 2015.

At the top of his game…thoughtful & condensed, the silly & the cerebral’ – Culture Northern Ireland

Aidan Shields (@HershelOgrady):

Supreme leader of Juicebox Comedy Club in Dundalk and probably one of the funniest men in his family. Finalist in Show Me the Funny 5 (2015) and also the proud owner of a Lucky Duck Award.

Aidan also runs the comedy at Vantastival Music Festival and has played at numerous venues across Ireland and is a frequent performer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. One to watch, his comedy career is finally starting to shadow his only other success as runner-up in Dundalk’s Bonny Baby competition in 1985.” Email: juiceboxcomedy@gmail.com

– Alan Irwin (@AlanSRIrwin):

Since his first gig at Belfast’s Pavilion in October 2010, Alan has gigged across the UK, supporting acts like Brendon Burns, Phil Nichol, Bec Hill and Michael Redmond.

In 2014, he was a finalist in Chortle’s Student Comedy Award.”

“Exhibiting real energy and presence…a major player in the making.” (Culture NI)
