“Some of the best up and coming comedians in Ireland can be seen at the comedy crunch, all for free with free popcorn and ice cream! And dont people know it!! It’s an excellent night to get out and about mid week [Sunday and Mondays] but make sure you get there early because chances are everyone else will have the same idea.

Prepare to be crammed into a tiny room downstairs, although it has to be said that staff will always try and find you a seat even if it does end up a bit like playing tetris.” – Sandra B.

“If you are planning to be in Dublin on a Sunday or Monday night (and trust me, nothing you could be doing on a Monday night will be better than this – nothing) you have GOT to make this part of your evening.

I usually expect to be fairly underwhelmed at comedy shows, small club comedians just don’t tend to have the greatest material.  These comedians were absolutely hilarious and had me laughing the entire night.  It was also such a great way to get a taste of Irish culture and humor as each comedian gave insight into their childhoods, adolescence and families.  With an internationally and culturally varied audience, it was pretty awesome to see how everyone could relate on these subjects.  Even the host comedian that introduced each act, was absolutely hysterical.  The only downside was the absolute nightmare New Jersey girl (shocking…) in the audience.  Thankfully, the comedians shredded her.

It also doesn’t hurt that this takes place in the Stag’s Head (also reviewed), one of the most beautiful bars in Dublin and is at no cost!  It’s free!  Just go!” – Joy E.
