oh my Garden

Connor McDonough-Flynn (@ConMcFlynn) #TakingTheStage on on the 28th of May 2015 at oh my Garden – a creative collaboration artistic event happening in the South Studios. It’s going to be an amazing night. Doors 19:00.

oh my Garden:

To provide a space for talented, professional artists living in Ireland, in which they can take on new forms of expression.
Also, to create an environment which may inspire future business ideas.
Our goal is to help artists to find their identity, and to give them an opportunity to work independently while living in a foreign country.
We hope to encourage artists, of various nationalities and genre backgrounds, to engage with aspects of Irish culture, thus attempting to bring about entirely new form of expression.
Not only is this creatively stimulating from the artists’ perspective; it may give Irish people a chance to rediscover and reevaluate the merits of their own culture.
One of our aims is to make Ireland attractive to people not just as a country to study English, but also as a haven for creative expression.
As such, this project has been conceived as the beginning of a series of events.
Each such event can act as a chance for artists worldwide to recognise Ireland as a country of progressive artistic activity.
Oh My Garden’s greatest imperative is to build a new base of cultural activity, from which both Irish and non-Irish may benefit.
Concept:
‘Unknown Chemistry’
What happens when Ireland’s traditional skills, culture, and customs, are combined with non-Irish values, sensibilities and skills?
What if artists of various nationalities and genre backgrounds collaborate?
This event introduces something new, unprecedented; it represents the creation of a space for the ‘new, unknown future’.
