– Robert Coyle (@ComedianRobert):

While looking down the barrel of being 40 and truly knowing that all this was going to end one day; that as Jim Morrisson said “No-one here gets out alive”, that he was definitely going to die, Robert Coyle thought he’d ditch his day job in Advertising and become a comedian. Time will tell whether that was a smart, brave move or just fucking delusional. Since then Robert has gigged all over Ireland and the UK and has performed solo shows twice at the Edinburgh Fringe. Every Saturday he performs one of his 2 new solo 90 minute shows; “Numinous” or “Being Wrong Is Right”, depending on his mood, in Accent’s café to a sober audience – he compares it to training at altitude. On Thursday’s he performs as part of the comedy residency “Light, Dark, Dangerous, and a Little Bit Gay” in The Underground Comedy Club in Dublin Citi Hotel on Dame Street.

He’s not strictly a comedian, he is more of a Stand-Up philosopher. Unfortunately he hates the word philosopher. He knows it makes him sound like an arse and, I mean come on, who is going to go to a show called “Stand-Up Philosophy?”

Robert is annoyingly happily married with zero kids or pets. He is hoping that he can figure out a way that people will give him money for his “not-quite-comedy, stand-up-philosophy” before the bank repossess his house.”

Little did naïve Eve know that breaking in would also entail breaking down. Eve’s fear of commitment and aversion to labels has led to her current comedy ‘style’ being largely undefined, described best (in cheerleadingly encouraging and hopeful sentiments) as, ‘a work in progress’ and ‘evolving’. And as a wise woman once said many times, “shur, isn’t that all any of us can hope to strive for.” That wise woman only ever managed to make average tea. Eve likes tea.”

– Gráinne McKeever (@grainnemckeever):

“Grainne Mckeever’s fearless observations and quirky story telling style has earned her a place in the finals of “Show Me The Funny”, “Independence Comedy”, “Craic Attack” and “Paddy Laughs” and seen her becoming a firm favourite with Irish audiences, definitely one to watch while her star is on the rise.

“It can only be a matter of time before she gets her moment in the sun… on the front cover of the RTE guide smiling with some kittens and Marty Whelan” – HotPress”

– Connor McDonough-Flynn (@ConMcFlynn)

Connor McDonough-Flynn’s been a comedian for 5-years. Hes gigged all around Ireland and Internationally.

His comedy is bizarre, bold and (un)balanced – he’s an arguably debatable spectator tempter. Connor will have you laughing away as he deals with the debaucherous topics that present themselves daily. The stimulating humdrum thoughts that arouse bemusement. And the oddball anecdotes that evoke howls, from the mouths, on your face. There’s a means to his madcap manoeuvres.

He put on his first solo show (hour special): “I’m Not Special” at The Workman’s Club in Dublin on the 13th of March, 2015.

He’s since began touring:  “I’m Not Special” bringing 5-shows to the Galway Fringe Festival in July 2015.

Finalist in the – Finalist in the Forbidden Fruit Comedy Talent Search.

Lisa is one of the most exciting and fastest rising new comedians on the scene. Still in her first year she has already done Jestfest with the likes of David McSavage, Joe Rooney and Andrew Maxwell. Winner of the Hardy Har comedy competition 2015. Budweiser dream job finalist.”

“With clever punch lines, silly impressions and musical whimsy all to her name, Lisa has what it takes to make you laugh. A worthy champion of our stage!” – Hardy Har Comedy Club.

– Ruth Hunter (@ruthokhunter):

Ruth Hunter is an Irish comic with at least six panels per page. the sixth panel usually contains the punchline. She is existent and malleable. When left outside too long she forgets how she got there. She has performed at least several times before you read this sentence. Oh, she won that duck they give you when you joke in public at that bar twice. It is also possible she was just talking to strangers in a bar and already owned at least one small duck.”
